Create and restore a cloud-based copy of WhatsApp

The reason for this is that Android saves chats to Google Drive while iOS saves them to iCloud. If we want to change the operating system, we have provided alternative methods below.
On Android, you can make and restore a copy of WhatsApp.
- We update WhatsApp to the latest version on the old phone.
- We open it and go to Settings without removing the SIM.
- We select Chat, followed by Backup.
- Save the file by clicking the Save button.
- We can now transfer the SIM card to the new phone.
- In this, we launch WhatsApp and enter our phone number.
- The app will prompt us to restore the conversations.
On iOS, you can make and restore a copy of WhatsApp.
- We update WhatsApp to the latest version on the old phone.
- We open it and go to Settings without removing the SIM.
- We select Chat, followed by Backup.
- Select Make a backup.
- We can now transfer the SIM card to the new phone.
- In this, we launch WhatsApp and enter our phone number.
- The app will prompt us to restore the conversations.

How to Transfer WhatsApp Messages from Android to iOS
If we want to change the operating system, we’ll need a PC or a Mac, as well as the Dr.Fone software. Other programs exist, but this one is free. To transfer all WhatsApp messages from Android to iOS, follow the steps below:
- On the computer, we install the Dr. Fone program.
- When you open it, select Restore Social App.
- Then, in Restore WhatsApp messages, click the button.
- We link both phones to the computer.
- Before proceeding, we need to confirm the destination mobile. All of your WhatsApp data will be deleted.
- We press the Transfer button and wait for it to complete.

If we want to transfer data from iOS to Android, all we have to do is click on “flip” in point 5 until the target mobile is Android.
Another intriguing option is to send a plain text copy of the chat. For example, one that can be accessed from any mobile device or computer without the need for WhatsApp to be installed. It comes in handy when we want to save a copy of the text but not the images.
To accomplish this, we go to the chat in question, click on options, and then click on More. Then we export the chat and choose whether or not we want it with attached files. Without files, we can send the selected conversation via email, WhatsApp, or Google Drive, among other options.
This is a quick way to save a specific chat if we don’t want to see the rest of them. However, WhatsApp will not allow it to be exported to another mobile device for the time being, so we will only see it as plain text.
