Google Chrome Latest Update: Google has just released a critical update that addresses 11 security flaws, seven of which are critical. In the wild, the vast majority of these flaws are not actively exploited. This is not to say that hackers do not take advantage of at least one of the critical security flaws.
While Google withholds further details while waiting for the update to be installed on as many machines as possible, the company does reveal that it has discovered one of the most serious flaws exploited by hackers.
As a result, Google encourages the 3 billion Chrome users to update their browsers as soon as possible. Google promises to provide more information about the flaws once enough machines have been updated.
A common practice that avoids literally revealing to hackers the procedure to exploit the security flaw. In most cases, it is Google, specifically Project Zero researchers, who are responsible for the discovery of this type of security flaw.
How can you get Google Chrome Latest Update as soon as possible?
However, in this case, it was primarily independent ethical hackers who contributed to the discovery of these flaws. Hackers are being compensated as part of the company’s Bug Bounty program.
Google also thanks “researchers who collaborated with us during the development cycle to prevent bugs from spreading to the stable channel.” CVE-2022-0609 is the reference for the most dangerous flaw.
Normally, Google Chrome installs security updates automatically upon startup. To try to update your internet browser, we recommend that you first close and reopen Google Chrome. It is also relatively simple to force the update search if nothing has been installed in the meantime.
